Ascension Of The Lord Mass, Year A - Reflection: Today, we celebrate a divine departure that brings ultimate closeness.
In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus ascends not to abandon us, but to fill the universe with His presence. He exchanges a localized physical body for a cosmic, unrestricted reality. He leaves our sight so He can inhabit our hearts. by, Fr. Michael Maurice Pastor, God's Blessings.

Sixth Sunday of Easter Mass, Year A - Reflection: The God Who Refuses to Leave You Alone. Today’s readings speak directly to a fear that many of us carry in our quiet moments: the fear of being truly alone. Likewise, In Today’s Gospel, Jesus is preparing to leave his disciples, but he gives them a promise that changes everything, he says, "I will not leave you orphans" by, Fr. Michael Maurice Pastor, God's Blessings.

The Fifth Sunday Of Easter Year A: Today’s Gospel (John 14:1–12) begins with a command that feels almost impossible in our modern world: "Do not let your hearts be troubled." We look at our bank accounts, our health, or the evening news, and "troubled" feels like the natural state of being. But Jesus isn’t offering a hollow platitude or telling us to ignore reality. He is offering a different foundation.

GOOD SHEPHERD SUNDAY, Fourth Sunday Of Easter Year A: “He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.” (John 10:3) In the time of Jesus, the sheepfold was a rugged stone enclosure where multiple flocks would spend the night together for protection. When morning came, the various shepherds would stand at the entrance and call out. Despite the noise and the mixing of hundreds of animals, the sheep didn't hesitate. They didn't follow the loudest voice or the one that sounded most authoritative, they followed the one they recognized. Today, we live in a world that is essentially one giant, noisy sheepfold.

The Road of "What If": Finding Jesus in the Ordinary; If we are honest, most of us spend a lot of time living in the past tense. We live in the world of "We had hoped." In today’s Gospel for the Third Sunday of Easter (Year A), we meet two disciples on the road to Emmaus who are stuck in that exact headspace. They are walking away from Jerusalem, away from a place of pain, away from the site of their failed expectations. They tell the "stranger" walking with them, "We were hoping that he would be the one to redeem Israel." They aren't just sad; they are disillusioned. They had a plan for how God was supposed to work, and the Cross wasn’t part of it.

DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY MASS: © SACRED HEART HOLY CATHOLIC CHURCH INC.
In today’s Gospel, we find the disciples huddled behind locked doors. Their fear is palpable. They aren't just hiding from external authorities; they are trapped by their own trauma, their abandonment of Jesus, and a crushing sense of failure.
Fast forward to our contemporary world. We may not be hiding from physical persecution in the same way, but how many of us live behind "locked doors" of our own making? Enjoy This Sunday's Mass. Thank You For Worshiping With Us!

Resurrection Of The Lord. Fr. Michael Maurice Presiding. Fr. Fathima Gopu, Concelebrant. Easter Sunday Homily, Year A, which typically focuses on the discovery of the empty tomb. While the Vigil captures the dramatic transition from darkness to light, the Easter morning liturgy focuses on the urgency of the message and the invitation to see and believe in a world still grappling with its own "tombs.

Easter Vigil Homily: "THE EARTHQUAKE OF HOPE"; by Fr. Michael Maurice The Modern Ground is Shaking: Tonight, we began in the dark—a darkness, we know all too well. In our present day, the ground feels perpetually unsteady. We live in an era of "earthquakes": the tremors of global instability, the falling of missiles and the collapse of neighborhoods. the rifts of social division, and the quiet, personal quakes of anxiety and loneliness that shake our own lives and homes.

GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE: © SACRED HEART HOLY CATHOLIC CHURCH INC.
"The Weight of the Wood", This afternoon, the Church enters into a profound, liturgical "fast". We began in silence, with the priest prostrate before a bare altar, symbolizing the humiliation of Christ and the desolation of a world without its Savior. In Year A, we are invited to look at the Cross through the lens of Prophetic Fulfillment. We are not just watching a man die; we are watching the "New Adam" undo the knot of ancient disobedience.

HOLY THURSDAY MASS: © SACRED HEART HOLY CATHOLIC CHURCH
In this Mass of the Lord’s Supper, we return to the Upper Room to celebrate the gift of the Eucharist and the institution of the Priesthood. As Jesus kneels to wash His disciples' feet, He gives us a "New Commandment": to love one another through humble service. Let us enter into these mysteries with open hearts, ready to follow Christ from the table of the feast to the garden of prayer.

PALM SUNDAY MASS: © SACRED HEART HOLY CATHOLIC CHURCH
Today we begin Holy Week, the most dramatic week in the history of the world. It begins with the festive "Hosanna" in the streets, a glorious parade. Only to end with a chilling "Crucify him" in the courtyard and an empty tomb. But right now, we’re stuck in the middle of what we could call a "Great Mood Swing." And at the heart of today’s liturgy, we find ourselves de-shoveled by a massive case of spiritual whiplash.

SUNDAY MASS: FIFTH SUNDAY OF LENT©: SACRED HEART HOLY CATHOLIC CHURCH
We have reached the Fifth Sunday of Lent, and the air is thick with the scent of the coming Passion. Today, we stand with Martha and Mary at the mouth of a tomb. We often think of the raising of Lazarus as a story about the end of life, but it is actually a story about the beginning of a new kind of living.

SUNDAY MASS: FOURTH SUNDAY OF LENT©: LAETARE SUNDAY, SACRED HEART HOLY CATHOLIC CHURCH. Today the Church pauses its Lenten austerity to rejoice. We see the priest and altar adorned in rose-colored vestments. But "rejoicing" can feel distant when we look at the world around us. In the Gospel of John today, Jesus encounters a man who was blind from birth. The disciples immediately look for someone to blame for His loss of sight: The disciples questioned, "Who sinned, this man or his parents?".

SUNDAY MASS: THIRD SUNDAY OF LENT© : SACRED HEART HOLY CATHOLIC CHURCH. If the First Sunday of Lent was about hunger in the desert, and the Second Sunday was about vision on the mountain, this Third Sunday of Lent is about thirst. We find ourselves at a well in Samaria. It is noon, the hottest part of the day. A woman comes to draw water, and Jesus, tired from his journey, is sitting there. What follows is one of the most profound conversations in all of Scripture. It is a masterclass in how God meets us exactly where we are. Fr. Michael Maurice Pastor,

Homily For The Second Sunday of Lent. Transfiguration of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
We were in the desert last week. Today, the Gospel takes us up to the mountain, where we move from the dry, lonely testing ground of the wilderness to the radiant, overwhelming glory of Mount Tabor.
My dear friends, Lent is not just about the "giving up" of the desert; it is about the "waking up" of the mountain. Amen, God Bless You All.

Homily: The Desert of the Heart: by, Fr. Michael Maurice, First Sunday of Lent, Year A. Friends, today we stand at the edge of the wilderness. The ashes from Wednesday are still, perhaps, a faint shadow on our hearts, reminding us that we are dust. But the Gospel today reminds us that even in the dust, there is a Divine encounter just waiting to happen.

The Ash Wednesday Ritual: A Return to the Soil On Ash Wednesday, the Church marks our foreheads with the remains of last year’s palms. We hear the ancient decree: "Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return". In a world that is obsessed with digital crimes, immortality and curated perfection, this ritual is a jarring return to reality. It reminds us that regardless of our status, wealth, or political affiliation, we share a common, fragile origin.

1a. The Crisis of the Minimum In today’s Gospel from Matthew 5:17-37, Jesus speaks to a world that, much like our own, was obsessed with the "minimum." The scribes and Pharisees focused on the letter of the law, checking boxes to ensure they hadn't committed murder or adultery. But Jesus disrupts this comfort by demanding a righteousness that surpasses the minimum.

FIFTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME: YEAR - A This is a Sunday of bold identity. In the Gospel of Matthew 5:13-16, Jesus does not say we "should be" salt and light; He says, "You are the salt of the earth. You are the light of the world." By, Fr. Michael Maurice Pastor, God's Blessings.

FOURTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME: YEAR-A: The Beatitudes are not a list of moral "burdens"; they are a portrait of Jesus himself. He was the one who was poor, who mourned, and who was persecuted for us. Therefore, this week, don't try to master all eight. Just choose one Beatitude, be it mercy, purity of heart, or peacemaking and ask the Holy Spirit to make it your "default setting" If we truly live these words, we won't just hear the Gospel, we will become the Gospel. God Bless You All, Fr. Michael Maurice, Sacred Heart Holy Catholic Church; Website; www.sacredhearthcc.com
THIRD SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME: YEAR-A: On this Sunday as we reflect on the Word of God, Paul’s plea is more urgent than ever. We cannot be "fishers of men" if we are busy fighting each other in the boat. When we emphasize our own preferences or "human leaders" over Christ, we empty the Cross of its meaning. Unity is not an option here; it is a requirement and a necessity for our light to shine in the darkness of the world. Becoming the Light As we celebrate this Eucharist, we are invited to bring our shadows into the Light. God Bless You All, Fr. Michael Maurice, Sacred Heart Holy Catholic Church; Website; www.sacredhearthcc.com
SECOND SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME: YEAR-A: In today’s Gospel, John the Baptist makes a startling admission: "I did not know him". This is the man who leapt in Elizabeth’s womb when Mary approached; they were kinsmen, yet John confesses he didn't truly know Jesus’ identity until the Spirit descended. In our own lives, we often "know" about God, we know the prayers and the doctrines, but we may not truly recognize His presence in our day to day struggles, our family responsibilities, or at work. Ordinary Time is really our perfect chance to move from knowing about Jesus Christ to truly recognizing Him as the "Lamb of God" the one who is already active in our midst. God Bless You, Fr. Michael Maurice, Sacred Heart Holy Catholic Church; Website; www.sacredhearthcc.com
